Hi All,

As we are testing SDUSA , could you please not update your SDUSA adverts , if urgent , please let us know and we will be able to help you.

Vilcal is not subject to this testing and can be updated at any time (thanks Hazel) :)

Hi all Southern Dunes Villa Owners,

I'm pleased to say that we've now completed the transfer of the SDUSA website, and all appears to be running well. 8) You should notice no change in the look or operation of the site, and everything should be familiar. Our main focus over the next few weeks is to raise the website profile on search engines, and to increase our rate of enquiries.

The other good news is that this forum will also be continuing, with Lynne and Kevin T as moderators. :smt041 However, note our new address is at :

www.southerndunesusa.com/forum

To help the transition, anyone going to the BAFV forum will automatically be switched to this new SDUSA forum, but that redirect will be switched off sometime soon so please save this address in your bookmarks.

Sadly, we had to drastically cut down the size of the forum to fit it into our new home. However, we've managed to save all avatars and most recent posts, along with everyone's log in details. We'd encourage everyone to post regularly to help with our rankings on Search Engines.

Finally, a big THANK YOU to Darren & Lynne for all their help over the last few weeks and for making the switch such a success.

I am just wondering would it be a good time to get rid of all the members who were never active or are long since gone, clean slate and all that.

Hmm, how about the ones we don't like? ;)

Kidding! This is actually a NICE place to visit, well, I hope it will continue to be...but yes, inactive members could go...lurkers are fine, but if they haven't logged in in ages...

Have been reading the news re: BAFV/SDUSA with interest but have had so little time to get my posting head on.

Thanks go to Darren for all the hard work over the years and also to the new team for rescuing what is a great forum and advertising site.

I will be looking in on a regular basis and if I have have a anything of interest to add wll gladly do so. I do read posts anyway to keep abreast of the news in Florida and to continue learning about the ups & downs of villa ownership.

Well I have been checking the BAFV site for some time to read the forum but obviously just got the re-direction to the SDUSA website - and no forum. Glad to see it is back up and running and hopefully will get back to the top of the ratings before too long!!

Thanks to Darren & Mo for their hard work, and good luck to Kevin with all the hard work ahead!!!

Glad everything has gone smoothly. Have not been on for the last few weeks as we are in New Zealand at the moment and have had very poor internet access. We came out for Andrew's wedding to Alexandra went absolutely beautifully and everyone had a wonderful day. The reception was held at Remura golf club and we could not help comparing it to SD. It is not a links course and had fewer bunkers and the grass was definitely not so green although they have had a very dry summer. We decided it was not as nice as SD although the clubhouse and the food at the reception was first class

most of the inactive members who hadnt posted at all or who hadn't posted in a long time were cleared , so the forum is a lot tidier now :)

Crikey, I'm glad I'm still here, this forum is genuinely the friendliest forum there is, you don't ever have to worry that someone is going to slate your posts.

Just need to make sure I can find it now the name's changed :)

Oh, I so wanted to say something nasty, just for fun, but you're right, it's too nice here for that!

SO GLAD I have found the forum again... have checked at BAFV from time to time...

It has been a harrowing week here near Boston... but all of our family and friends are safe, for which we are very thankful !!

We head to Florida on Tuesday... :smt007

Welcome back Laurel, Steve & Jen ! Glad to see you found us again :D

I was wondering if everything was OK for you after the recent traumatic time in Boston. Great to hear that you are all OK. Hopefully things can settle down again now (but sadly won't be the same for many families involved in the marathon.

Have a great vacation from Tuesday onwards ! 8)

That's good to hear Laurel - I'm sure a visit to Florida will do the world of good too. It is for us, even with all the painting! Legoland on Wednesday though!
